It’s a great practice to brush all pets frequently to reduce pet dander and regularly trim their nails to prevent possible snags on carpet fibers. For a trending, layered look, you can even place area rugs on top of your carpet to offer an extra level of protection.
It’s extremely important to remove dirt and debris from the carpet surface effectively in order to prevent wear and tear. Vacuum your carpet daily or as frequently as possible, with an appropriate vacuum model that suits the construction of your carpet. Make sure that any beater bars are disengaged from your vacuum and check your carpet warranty before investing in a robot vacuum.
When spills occur on your carpet, it is important to act as promptly as possible. Gently lift any solid material with a spoon and begin blotting the stain from the outside towards the center with a clean, white towel and warm water. For dried stains, use a gentle carpet-specific cleaner to spot clean as needed.
